I honestly don't know what's happening in my life, it's one disaster after the other. I couldn't work anymore because i couldn't travel from work and back. Ever since then things just fell apart. Had interviews so many couldn't attend. The one interview couldn't attend because my brother got in a car accident. The other one couldn't attend because I didn't have transport. And ever since my brothers car accident the house just feels heavy. The lack of extra income my parents are struggling, My… read more

It isn't necessarily a bad thing to be vulnerable and accept help. That's what family and friends are for, or at least supposed to be.

Hey Katie, Hi from Canada again. When things feel out of control find a quiet place and breath, maybe close your eyes focus on you, tell your mind to rest for a minute. We can't control things that are out of our control, so we do our best. Get fresh air, as you wait for the right job :) maybe find something local maybe to volunteer? These things help keep us busy, and doing good, helping others does wonders for us too. as in relationships, just because we have talked on here a bit. Be upfront and honest with this new person, if they care it won't feel rushed. Your last relationship was hard and you probably still need to get some help :) That's my input Katie, prayers and wonderful thoughts from here to you and your family. There will be sunny days ahead.

Being overwhelmed is what we face. When being overwhelmed starts to interfere with daily living on a regular basis, then some red flags of concern may be warranted. If you imagine standing and suddenly four people run up to you and start shouting different things, you can't focus on anything and are somewhat paralyzed. That can happen in basic training. Its a shock to the system but will go away. Like interfering with daily life, the shock and confusion remain and you're left spinning in all directions and basically freeze up.
On this site, you'll get plenty of good people with all sorts of experiences and insight. There are plenty of people just like you that look for some source of information to not only validate what you are feeling, but want to help.

In all the chaos surrounding you, the one thing you're not getting is a breather that will allow you to step back, think on matters slowly and carefully.

With all that's been going on it sounds like your condition is par for the course without a mental disease. One day at a time, one step at a time. I always told my students "in the past, have you survived similar issues? What makes you think you won't make it through this?" Don't know if that helps. It helps me get through times because I know no matter how dark it is, the light at the end of the tunnel will show up eventually. Which of your situations seems to be the worst for you?

Good Luck. But know you are not worthless or unwanted. I promise you there is a reason why you are here on this planet earth. 💓 You are wanted, and you are worthy! 💓
