Work on your depression first then worry about relationships unless they are patient-therapist. Relationships of a serious nature want healthy participants. You are not healthy in depression. That is the first thing you need. It is like getting oxygen first, then help others.

Be honest with the people you mix with. Tell them that's what you're experiencing at the moment. People who have experienced depression will sympathize. People who haven't, will at least be educated.
