Does Anyone Else Have Invasive Thoughts?
Yes. Sometimes I think it is either from over stimulation, or almost the opposite, boredom. I seem to need balance in everything, but that is not so easy to achieve.
Your brain needs rest, but also needs recreation. Try naps and learn to play ping pong.
bedtime is my favorite time of day
I'm glad to hear someone else say that the brain needs rest. Bedtime is a gift for my mind.
I was with a therapist for 5 years. She has since moved to Idaho, so I started with a new therapist in January. We are currently working on my day-to-day emotions/ thoughts. I feel like we've barely scratched the surface. She wants to add group therapy which would lead to 6 sessions of therapy per month. Kind of intense, but I may try it.
Yes. Every day I have invasive thoughts. As a friend has told me, it's what we do with these thoughts. We have the right to control our thoughts or let our thoughts control us. I submerge myself in my hobbies and my fur babies.
When I am in public, I tend to be silent. My therapist calls this over-controlled. I call it being safe...we are working on this.
Hope this helps a little.
