i can't get over the difference between my kids and me. When I was their age I had a career started, a house payment, a useless husband, lots of bills and a strong work ethic.

My kids have none of these things.

Members connected over the challenge of relating to their adult children, sharing feelings of distance, estrangement, and the grief of unmet expectations around milestones like careers, relationships, and grandchildren. Several members shared personal stories of being cut off by their children without explanation, describing the pain of silence and the hard-won decision to focus on their own lives rather than waiting for answers. A recurring theme was finding peace through acceptance, letting go of the need to understand, and trusting that children will find their own way in their own time.

we did order dinner from an incredible Mexican restaurant a la Grubhub, but, as a recovering gambler (scratch-off tickets) for 14 years, closest I last came to a casino was giving a guy a jumpstart at Hollywood Casino in Harrisburg years ago doing the AAA shuffle...

I used to like taking the casino bus trips from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, cash in the "complimentary" $25 in casino coins, then spend the time allotted going up and down the Boardwalk. I can't remember the last time my hand hit a one-armed bandit...
