Was Wondering On Anyone's Bad Days Do They Ever Feel Numb Inside?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hard to describe this but I mean like does anyone feel numb at times but just carries on with daily life. Like as if you don't want to do anything. You feel nothing but no point explaining to anyone knowing they won't understand as they haven't been through depression and that?

From my experience though, all feelings change. The same one might come back time and time again, but it doesn't stay constant forever! It just feels like it is that way! I look at the tough feelings… read more

Anyone Here Taken Sertraline Or Zoloft?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Did the med make you gain weight? I really don't need the extra stress of weight gain. Also, any other bad side effects? I'm scared to take it. The reason I'm taking it is due to severe anxiety as well as days and days of no sleep to the point of hallucination. I didn't want a long term med, but here it is.... Anyone else been on this drug?

How Great A Part Has Exhaustion Played In Your Illness?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

How big a part has exhaustion played in your illness. Since was 14 I have lacked energy, and doing things like mowing the lawn has been extremely hard to build-up to. At 65 I stopped mowing and shoveling, and my gardening is largely being done by my nephew....I have always felt that exhaustion has been one of the worst parts of my illness, and one of the hardest to manage....what have others found?

Crying
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I read over and over about people like us crying a lot. I’ve never been able to, as far back as I can remember. It’s not that it bothers me so much . I just don’t understand it. I was just told my favorite fur baby died this morning. Not a tear. Not much feeling. In fact almost a feeling of relief , one less thing to have to care about. I can feel my mother watching me for something. I guess I’ll have to give her some kinda reaction so she’ll feel I’m grieving.
Kinda sick huh.

Weight Gain On Antidepressants
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi I've been on different antidepressants for years and am currently on cymbalta/duloxetine. All of them have caused me to put on weight, which causes more depression and not liking myself. I was slim and active before I started these medications. Now I feel too tired to exercise, whereas I used to be active. I've just started a new diet but find the drugs cause carb cravings and increased appetite. How do people deal with this problem? I feel in despair about it as when I come off the… read more

Try Lamotragine. I've been on it for 2 yrs now and have lost weight on it. No carb cravings either. You start on 25 mg 2x a day, then work your way up. I'm on 125 mg 2x a day. Curbs manic symptoms as… read more

Wellbutrin. Negative Effects For Anyone Else!?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi. I'm really needing support right now Has anyone here had a really negative effect(s) on Wellbutrin ER? I'm experiencing weight gain, crying ( I am not someone that cries unless I'm angry or severely depressed). I feel empty, like I'm nothing. The first part of the year I was doing well, lost weight, cut bad food out of my diet. But ever since my third month on this I've gone back to eating too much and then guilt and I relapsed back into sh after three months without it. I've gone off of… read more
