My primary doctor put me on Vitamin D3 after blood work showed my levels were low. I haven't been on it long enough to tell any difference in how I feel mentally/emotionally or physically. I am going to ask her and my psychiatrist is their cause and effect.

I am in Canada and we too have little sunlight from October to May which triggers my depression. I have also heard vitamin D can be good for those suffering from depression and if it seems to be working for you that is excellent news.
