There is wisdom in asking your md. The frank answer to your question is no but the related answer is yes. Here is why. I went cold turkey on effecor. Big mistake. It's as close to an addiction as I ever want to be. It MUST be tapered with MD, preferably with psychiatrist. Neurochemistry is sort of their expertise so booze might well fall into that. Delirium tremens is no joke so be sure that's being addressed in terms of avoiding it.
I felt the power of nicotine once when I chewed tobacco for about two weeks. Wife was unhappy I started that habit so I quit but I felt the withdrawal and was startled. I didn't use it long enough to have any real ramifications.
Drinking lots of booze often depletes certain nutrients, especially vitamin B12 that is essential for brain function, folate, thiamine, A and B6.
