On the road...again...
When my children were young we would rent a motel room near where the fireworks would go off. We would be able to swim all day, eat submarine sandwiches, potato salad and chips. Then when it got dark we had front row seats for the show We looked forward to this day every year. Now that it’s just me I my dogs I stay home with the tv on loud because one of my dogs is very scared of the noise
Barbeque pork steaks (it's a regional thing) on the grill with some ears of corn and potato (Yum!) salad...nothing fancy, but it's our way.
We may be able to see the fireworks in Carbondale. Never tried.
