That's hard to answer in a concise form. I had a powerful experience many years ago when I was debating that very question after years of searching. It was a spiritual experience in that I suddenly realized my mission or purpose, the reason I was here. It sounds corny, but it was 'to make the world a better place', and I knew what that specifically meant. Over the years, that has never left me, and I found myself prepping for things I would be using - things I learned that would be tucked away, as I am invested in how and what people get tripped up on in life, I'm good at reading people.
So, I've had this 'contribution' within, that was built through the lessons of hardships over the years, tidbits of wisdom gleaned from experience that gave me insight and understanding of what people feel or need, and I try to provide that in a way that allows people to feel safe, understood or supported.
So much of that is just showing up, or taking the time to stay with them, to listen. It's not magic, just the wisdom of what I've felt in my experiences. It gives me gratitude to be able to offer what I feel we are losing in our impersonal "take your med- learn how to regulate your emotion" world. 🥰
