For me it comes down to knowing it is just a thought. I have suicide idealization and I read and research and a quote from a book called Be Happy Anyways which stated it is not about controlling the thoughts that come to your mind, it is knowing that a thought is just a thought and in knowing that has been a source of dealing with it.
I put myself directly in the hospital. I have twenty one hospital stays as of right now from the past sixteen years. I have no shame.I'm not afraid to talk about it and people are to welcome to think I'm crazy but I will put myself in the hospital every time.If that's what it takes for my children to have their mother in their lives and not leave them behind as if they weren't enough.
As quickly as they appear, they disappear if I let them. Instead of their frightening me now, there's a "yeah, whatever," and I go about the business of my day. Best wishes, Katherine. 🌺
I wait for them to pass. I do not indulge them nor consider them logical. They are nothing more than a thought, a concept, like a cloud floating across the sky. I let them float away….(man I got to stop watching those Bob Ross marathons)
