Do Dogs Help Depression
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Has anyone gotten a pet specifically a dog to help their depression? I want one but don't want the extra responsibility and cost as I'm unsure i can handle it. Did anyone else every go through this??

Yes I certainly do. And I adore dogs. They are wonderful company, entertaining, and something to love. I don't feel so lonely. Always willing to let you hug and kiss them. And it is nice to have someone to take care of. Gets you out of bed or off the couch to let them out. They ended my very sedentary lifestyle by going on walks, too.

My dog gives me so much, as a puppy she made me move. Demanding outs, exercise, snuggles, unconditional love.

There are emotional support dogs. I have a dog and I think Iā€™d like to officially register her so I can bring her places with me. Here is a link: https://www.tailsrescue.org/animals/search_proc...
