Exercise

My doctor s and other people says exercise helps with depression... I want too but I am always tired... I do work 40 hrs... But right after I go straight to bed... On my days off I sleep all day... Really frustrating to me... Too a point why Im I a life when all I do is sleep.

Hi everyone. I actually bought my dog specifically for this reason so I have to walk her twice a day even when I feel horrible.

My shortest walk with her is just around the block. When I finally had enough energy to do that I would set myself a goal of being able to jog around the block with her. (It's a big block!).

So far I've managed to jog with her almost 1/2 way round the block without stopping.

If you really feel like you can't do this, just jogging on the spot will increase endorphins which is a good start.

I found on YouTube a 7 minute morning yoga routine for seniors (very easy) I have been doing it for about 2 weeks. Only 7 minutes, no crazy poses, Simple and improves my mood knowing I'm at least doing something. Baby steps at first.

I am a former bodybuilder AND my job has me submersed in the fitness industry. I pretty much feel obligated to stay in shape. However, I also know what it’s like to be stuck in bed. There are exactly 14 medium sized steps to get to my shower...I’ve counted them. My wife tells me ‘14...that’s it, only 14 and you’ve done the hardest part of your workout’. Inevitable (with some exceptions) I listen. I leave the gym literally trying to remember what was keeping me in bed. I listen to a little gangsta rap while working out and next thing...I feel like doing a drive by (just kidding). Truth is...count your steps. It’s the hardest part of your workout (getting to the gym). Trust me, once you’re there is GAME ON. My company is TKO NUTRITION. You can find us on Facebook and online and wherever else social media presents itself. I’m an advocate for mental health and my business is secondary to my health. I’m broken but I refuse not to break others who try to break me. I love for the 5 women in my life becuz everyone else has failed me. Judge me not lest ye be punched in the mouth. Good luck guys. Count your steps. It’s the hardest part. Hit me up if you wanna chat about it.

I feel tired eventually the same day after exercising. However, I believe one of my meds is causing my fatigue.I have just stopped taking it with my Drs ok. It took me a long time to start exercising, but I feel so less depressed and anxious.

I feel the same.. but I have started to do something together with others on a regular basis. I have joined a choir! Something I'd never done before but its great. It's a soul choir so we stand move and clap and exercise our lungs and vocal cords for 2 hours. feels absolutely great.
