I have been feeling suicidal for the better part of last year and this year and I am not sure how to trust myself to keep myself safe or when I feel urges I don't know if I will do anything. I will only go to the ER if I actually do something and it may be too late. When is it too dangerous to be alone?

Please don't do something like that I know sometimes it feels your whole world just is not going the right way but deep down you have alot of life to live. If you feel like this call the crisis center or go to the hospital. We care about you and it is not worth giving up. Just remember we don't know each other but being on this site we have alot of people willing to reach out. I care and even though I know how you feel. Text me anytime. But don't give up. To answer your question it is very dangerous right now go seek help but don't give up.

I once read someone say: "People don't die from suicide. They die from sadness." And that is so true. My grandfather committed suicide and I promised myself that I won't leave this world this way. Unfortunately my grandfather never had the power of the Internet. After some research and testing I came up with a method that allowed me to stop having suicidal feelings and get out of depression. It's been 2 years and I have not relapsed since. I collected these methods in one place in my book "Depression Blueprint". You can download it for free on Kindle (May 4 - May 8): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXVMXWK Hope that helps

I've been suicidal for over a year now, I made a promise to a friend that I wouldn't, which is why I know I won't go and jump in front of a train tomorrow, but the thoughts are always there.
I think when it goes from thoughts to plans , is when you should tell someone
