Supposedly I had gotten hired in Taco Bell this is going into a month already. I have wasted around 80 dollars or more on shoes and pants for this job to just be wasting my time on them and they never called me back and the stupid 2 hours I went on weekend I did not finish orientation and all it did was gave me a huge anxiety and panic attack with the stupid questions that I was about to burst in tears and leave everything behind.

That sounds genuinely exhausting and frustrating — spending money, showing up, and then just... silence. That's a lot to deal with, especially when depression and anxiety can already make situations like orientations feel overwhelming.

The panic and near-tears moment during orientation? That's not weakness. Anxiety is incredibly common alongside depression, and high-pressure social situations can trigger real physical and emotional responses that are hard to control. Here are a few things worth considering going forward:

- Contact Taco Bell directly — call or visit and ask about your employment status. You deserve a clear answer after investing time and money.
- Talk to your doctor or therapist about workplace anxiety — there may be accommodations or strategies that can help make future work situations more manageable.
- Set boundaries for yourself — it's okay to decide what kind of work environment feels safe and realistic for where you are right now.

You showed up. That took courage. Whatever happens next, that matters.
