hummingbird moth These have been seen here in alaska and I have yet to see one. I've seen a lot of pictures and they are amazing. They fly just like a hummingbird and have a long, curled tongue that sucks nectar from flowers.

Appearance: They have plump, fuzzy, olive-green or brownish bodies, clear transparent wings with reddish-brown or dark borders, and a fan-like tail.
