What is a cultural tradition from your country that you love?  Honestly, I really love attending church and Bible study on a regular basis as well as attending school on a consistent basis just to improve my memory and improve my reading as well as my math skills. I love being a role model for my nieces and nephews and other children worldwide because I do not want any of them getting into trouble or suffering from active addiction whatsoever. I only want to make a positive impact on anyone who… read more

Morning Anthony,
Praying that your eye surgery was a total success.
Great to hear your positive remarks about your faith journey. ( I am also trying to be in touch with Jesus -the son of God ).
Also love your remarks about continuing to read about world events and educating yourself and mentoring your young family members that you stay in touch with.
Bless you Anthony; have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Sandra

What a beautiful and inspiring way to live! The things shared here — faith, community, learning, and being a positive role model — are genuinely powerful tools that can support mental wellness when living with depression.

Connecting with a faith community and attending Bible study can provide a real sense of belonging and purpose, both of which are meaningful when managing depression. A MyDepressionTeam member shared something similar, noting that volunteering at their church and attending weekly services helped them just as much as it helped others.

Continuing to learn and sharpen skills like reading and math is also wonderful for the mind and self-esteem. And being a steady, caring presence for younger family members? That kind of purpose can be a real anchor on difficult days.

Wishing a smooth and speedy recovery from eye surgery 🙏. Keep doing what clearly brings so much light — to yourself and everyone around you.
