I used to, because I was one, but I don't anymore. To be honest, I don't believe in a lot of things anymore.
There are like me but hard to find🙄
Yes I do.
I try, but always feel forced to be vigilant
I feel that tone right now, just sad about the world. But I actually do think there are sincere good hearted people , but I feel like they are kind of locked away, because of exactly how we feel, and because we have nowhere to meet.
Ive got so much in me waiting to fulfill. You will hear me blame the city I live in a lot, and I truly believe that's true. I'm a pretty free and innovative spirit, and this place is so backward and uninformed, very territorial in their power and self interest. My whole being is about making things better for people.
I'm kind of a visionary, and I see our society deteriorating, in terms of our human needs for social connections, and being in relationship and belonging to something greater than ourselves.
Our communities need spaces where people can interact, gather, pass by,. This was natural before cars, garages, houses ,technology, closed us away to ourselves.
We are a social species, and there is a hunger in people, and a disconnection that builds up in us when we can't express ourselves, and "be known". A lot of depression is anger turned inward. When adolescents are bullied, or have been abused and neglected, that energy churns inside and builds up, and the negative beliefs get internalized, and boys especially can turn to rage, girls to suicide, .
Sorry this was so long, but I truly believe we are addressing this individually, when we need to be addressing changes in the way we design communities. We need to be intentional about bring people back together in proximity.
We have a loneliness epidemic. Go figure😅. Our suicide rates increase every year. And we are not allowed to talk about it. We have trigger warnings, and the word is actually bleeped out on some shows. 🫨🤷♀️ It just seems so obvious to me as we hide in our cell phones. We text, because how uncomfortable to have to speak to someone.
Food for thought. 🙏❤️
Absolutely yes I do!!
