I love sitting on my porch with my dogs and a hot cup of coffee watching it storm. They love it and are not afraid of storms this way.

Members shared a wide variety of ways they find peace, from sitting on the porch with pets and coffee during rain or snow, to walks in nature, gardening, and creative hobbies like diamond painting, cross-stitch, and beadwork. Several members described finding calm through prayer, Bible study, journaling, meditation, and listening to soft or Christian music, especially to help with sleep. A recurring theme was the joy of simple, sensory moments in nature paired with beloved pets, warm drinks, and creative outlets that quiet the mind.

I love to sit on the back porch with my dog. He's the most chill beagle ever. I have a magnetic mosquito screen on my back door and he can just come and go whenever he wants. Later when it gets warmer he will lay on the grass and soak up the sun and I will sit outside and knit. I have a folding cot that I take outside. I cover it with a flat sheet or blanket and bring a pile of books (gotta have choices), a knitting project and some music. Sometimes I sit the stuff aside and lay out and soak up the sun with my buddy. My buddy is a beagle named Buddy. He's got a hard life. lol

Music is what I listen to to do my diamond art painting. And to settle down or go to sleep.

Here is a diamond painting I did. I didn't get it framed because it has odd dimensions and I'd have to pay a ton. The camera makes it looks weird, like it's darkening the lines between the pixels. It looks a lot better in person.

I'm sure she will love it.
I never got into diamond art but I do beaded art of several kinds.
