First of all, the fact that you *want* to reconnect is a huge deal — seriously, give yourself some credit for that! 🙌 Getting back into socializing after isolation can feel daunting, but it's absolutely possible to ease back in gradually.

Here are some gentle ways to start reconnecting:

- Start small — reach out to one trusted person rather than jumping into a group setting
- Socialize at a pace that feels right for you — there's no rush or rulebook here
- Try low-pressure social settings like a group exercise class or an art class where the activity takes the spotlight off conversation
- Strengthen existing connections — acquaintances from work or your neighborhood can be a great starting point
- Lean on online support communities for connection on days when leaving the house feels like too much A MyDepressionTeam member shared something really relatable: they struggled with connecting too, but found that group exercise or art classes made socializing feel more manageable — and they felt better for it.

Be patient and kind with yourself through this process. Every small step counts, even if it doesn't feel that way in the moment. 💙

Kim,
You can start by becoming active on MDT again.
There is a multitude of generous souls here. A few will help keep you motivated and less depressed.
I put out at lest one meme a day. Often I find a lot of good ones and forward them all.
