Our minds grab at any and every possible reason for self-punishment. It's as though taking accountability allows us to feel like we had the capacity, the power of choice at the moment of abuse, but no matter how many wrongs we may have made until that point, abuse is ultimately in the control of the abuser.
@A MyDepressionTeam Member, are you in counseling for ptsd? Emdr has helped loads of people I know get through the level of trauma you've experienced. Maybe it would help you too? 💔
