Southern Illinois

Please share a photo of what makes your home so special. (No Kali, you're bee-fest doesn't count although you probably feel pretty special...)

I'm first!
I live in the pretty part of Illinois with forest, lakes,& rock formations.
Word is that during the ice age the boulders of ice made the plains flat, but the boulders must have thawed and left all the rock formations in Southern Illinois

It's beautiful! Larry and I have talked about going to Alaska, but I can't fly anymore and the drive would kill me. Can't go to Italy as I planned either. I worked hard to go after my career, but the girl who flew every week, can do no more.

Denali in Alaska It's not as close as I'd like but when we drive to Anchorage (8 hour drive and Denali is a bit past the middle). I took this picture at one of the lookouts along the road there. It's really pretty and I've met a lot of nice people from all over.
