Celebrate Recovery is something I had been a part of for years. It's like AA only as well as the 12 steps, it also focuses on the Bibles beatitudes. Now I can rarely find a meeting and they're usually offered only online. There's no privacy if you live with someone else.. it is said that instead of only alcohol and drug addictions etc, it is also for anyone who has any hurts, habits or hang ups. Does anyone know how I can find an in person meeting near me? Thank you.
Thank you for your advice. Yes, that sounds exactly like the Celebrate Recovery meetings I used to go to. I'll definitely call my local churches. Thank you again and God bless you.
My local church has a celebrate recovery program. I would suggest calling your local churches for help finding an in person meeting somewhere. My church did it well. They had a 2 hour meeting in the church every week. The first hour was teaching, singing and celebrating accomplishments of those in the group. Second hour was smaller group time for people dealing with similar issues. I went to a group for adult survivors of child abuse. Most of them also suffered from depression or another mental illness, anxiety, PTSD, etc. I really enjoyed it so I hope you can find one. Like I said start by calling local churches and see if they have one or if they know of another place that does. I would hope that most churches would be willing to give out such information.
