Does anyone know how I can find an affordable but more importantly, a reliable, trustworthy attorney to give me divorce advice?

My husband and I have been together since 1997 and his drug addiction has gotten worse. My in-laws are in denial that he has a drug problem and they hold money and power over me. I need a trustworthy attorney to give me advice on how to not lose the house or my cats in case of separation or divorce. It's become clear to me that divorce is a definite possibility unless he gets help and stops abusing drugs immediately.

Do you attend any local support groups for spouses of addicts like Nar-anon? . . If not, now would be a great time for ya da start, I do believe, and you could go into any Nar-anon or Al-Anon mtg. and ask this question- you'd probably get a shipload of helpful responses from other spouses of addicts or alcoholics who have been there and done that!! . . Hi, not a good idea at all, Earl, unless there's something nefarious goin' on in the common household on the part of the addict such as drug dealin' . ... . If one and one's kids and/or extended family members are in danger from the addict spouse or partner, then certainly the law should be reported to, though, of course!! ...
