Just wondering how difficult people found it to get diagnosed.

I was diagnosed with borderline 3 years after my bipolar diagnosis. It seems as though drs are quick to jump on the bipolar train and not even look for symptoms of bpd. Easiest thing to do is write down all the symptoms you experience (so you dont forget any) and take it to your psychiatrist. Tell them you believe this is what you have and would like to be assesed for it. Hope this helps!

I had no idea that I had it. I've never heard of it. After the talk with my doctor. I came home and did some research on bpd. It was scary and yet cool to see that this is what I have. This is what's wrong with me. I find it so much easier to deal with now that I know.
