@A MyDepressionTeam Member! I know in my heart that you have got this! Trust in your angels to carry you through. It is scary going back to school. One thing will I share with you. My husband was 54 when he died of Melanoma. He was in school at that time. He was taking drafting classes with poor eyesight and having a blast. He had emotional problems too but was ever the student. He was 10.5 years older than me. When I met him he was 30 and I was 18. By his example, it is never too late to go back to school. My Robert was a shining example of this. I would enjoy taking classes in music or art, but I am not brazen like my husband. I see you as I saw him - ready and willing! I will keep you in my heart of prayers that you can pull this off. I am sure you would be a wonderful advocate. Peace!
Yes! I was crying everyday and didn't know why. Lamictal has been a miracle drug for me too! Thanks for the boost!
Yes lamictil and it helps greatly. I think some of it is my confidence in myself that I can do it. I love the classes that are going to be taught so that will help. I'm 44 and a friend said that its hard to find work at my age... another worry. It's to be a family advocate so I think my age won't be a huge factor. What do you think?
You never should let that stand in your way. I know easy said than done but you have to try fight for what you want. I have been there and know from experience. I had one year to finish my schooling that my anxiety took over. But I was able to go for those three years and handle my illnesses. I do not regret stopping at that moment because I was able to get on meds that really helped me. Have you tried a mood stabilizer to help you handle yours?
