I have been on "gabba" for at least three years. My only side effect is a very dry mouth at night. It actually "quiets" my mind at night and helps me settle down. How awful you get called a drug addict! Gabba is not the kind of drug that people take to get high or depend on day after day! Chin up, I think your family is just "ignorant" to information on the drug.

Gabba is probably the oldest of the mood stabilizers. There have been some very good reports about the use of it.

Didn't work for me but then with my peophyria n other issues nothing works but I remember.ber researching it before I started taking it

If people r hurtful it usually means they scared n don't know how to handle it bit it doesn't mean u have to take their nastiness. Good luck n I really hope n pray things get a little easier

Yes gabba is an old med and did not know it was used to treat porphyria. I do wish this would help you in any way possible and does help my restless leg for now. Not everyone likes it or has luck with it. No we sHould never have to take anyones nastiness but so many are uninformed and have no idea what we go through. I do think others are scared but gets frustrating! It has been an ok week for me but feeling down the last two days. I hope you are doing well and way behind here which I apologize for! Take care. I also take gabba...and have for about 10 years..I AM NOT A DRUG ADDICT!!...it treats many...not all, of the issues I have..along with other medications I need to LIVE!!
