been depressed for over a month now. I know I need medication now but the meds I know of make me feel like my head is filled with dandelion fluff and I lose my ability for higher cognitive thinking. Any one know of any types of meds that dont do this to a person??

Citalopram worked well for me , it definitely brought me out of the black hole I was in 😊

Effexor works best for me. It is terribly addictive to your body though. So, don't try to stop it unless you lower it slowly. If you don't take it you can get these electrical impulses in your brain. Which feels terrible. I was on quite a high dose and still did not feel fuzzy or out of it. My mind is pretty clear most of the time.

Depends what your diagnosis is. Chat to your doc n voice your concerns.

I have treatment resistant depression but citalopram works the best for me. I tried everything on the market, combinations, ECT. None work. Citalopram gives me some relief but have to accept this is my new reality.
