Always Wake Up Early 4am
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed with depression & GAD and had a relasp for 3 months now.. no improvment at all! Waiting for out patient referral.
Generally I can just about cope with it day to day.
Real problems occur when I wake up at 4am and have little sleep, around 4hours.
Its annoying I have really bad cognitive problems then.
Very hard to read, follow plots on tv, follow directions. It's so debilitating.. Does anyone get this? And what are good ways to cope with it?

Snap!
Yes I always lose my train of thought when speaking as well! My emotions go up and down.
Ive just try not to get frustrated and be a good listener. Old Music I find lifts me a bit, playing guitar and being empathic towards others.
Sorry to hear about you not being all to write. I used to be in a band and found my depression drifted away! Then when gig finished the feelings returned....

Have you had a good psych eval. I was diagnosed with GAD & depression for years-- fair to poor results. I recently had a major manic and have been diagnosed with bipolar 2. Put on depakote still working on it but am feeling really good at times.

Get a sleep analysis done by a specialist just to find out if there isnt something that can be done. venaflaxin, makes me have very deep dreams, brilliant, I talk to my mum, my dad, mind you they are both dead. You feel so much better after a good nights sleep
