Whats The Maximum Dose Thats Reccomended To Take Of Effexor Once A Day?

I take 225mg of effexor every morning but Ive heard from a specialist that the maximum dose is 300mg & since Ive been diagnosed with severe depression that this is the level I should be having. What part of these things are true & what are false?

I'm on 300mg been on them for 12 years n I find them useles. Hope u have better luck x

I've been on 375mg of Effexor for 3 1/2 years. I'm on them for the rest of my life, if I miss a dose I become very agitated, have the shakes and snap at the slightest thing. I find it very good for me, but it might not agree with everyone.

I have just started them 3wks ago i am on 300mg i don't know if i am having a good couple of days or the mrds are working i hope its the mefs be ause i have suffered from terrible depresson for most of my adult life and i am 62yrs old i have tried so many antidepressants through the years i hope this is the one.

Withdrawal from Effexor has caused me a near fatally suicide attempt and one serious suicidal gesture
