I have been seeing posts about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and that you can access it online but I have no idea what it is.
CBT is a way therapists use to help patients to learn positive thinking and positive self talk. People with depression tend to have negative thinking hence CBT can help break that cycle. I had CBT and it was a very good experience and I use it regularly.
I do try very hard to think positive thought but find it difficult at times
i just have an issue with looking in the mirror and saying YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE WORTH SOMETHING.... because i do NOT believe any of it nor will i ever.... i cope every day, but this is bullshit. i can not tell my self this every day and when i tried, i got to the you are beautiful part and laughed at myself saying wtf are you thinking.. look at yourself....... yeah,,,,,, maybe there is more to cbt than i know, but this is what was first prescribed to me..... you are beautiful you are worth blah blah bullshit
What a positive story Jane. How nice it is to hear someone acknowledge the benefits of CBT. I find that CBT encourages people acknowledge something useful about themselves ...
Have tried IAPT ?
Best of Luck 👍😉
