Anyone using Emsam patch? Doctor just prescribed it and waiting on approval from my insurance to see if it's going to be covered or not. MDD for the last 3 years. 10 different antidepressants with no relief.
I used the 6 mg for a few years. It worked well in the beginning.
Doesn't seem to be working even at 12. Don't know what to try next.

Does this medication have a side effect of weight gain? I have never heard of this.
Is this med usually covered by insurance or is it one you need to fight and jump through a bunch of hoops to get? My insurance is preferred one.
Has anyone tried or read book/workbooks on cog behavioral therapy? My Psychiatrist recommended I read up on this treatment and try to work thru some of my issues using this method. But I'm not to sure… read more
When ssris and snris dont work, its time to try novel medications like: Emsam patch, moclobemide, namenda, tianeptine, mirapex, maoi inhibitors or tricyclics. Never give up!!
I don’t get them every night, but I’ve had them the past two nights and I wake up tired and worn out in spite of sleeping 10-11 hours. I wouldn’t call them nightmares, but they’re very emotional and seem so darn REAL. Sometimes I even wake myself up because I’m moaning, groaning, or trying to yell in my sleep.
