I learned from afar that we both had the same favorite color and we both had stationary with the same bible verse printed on it. Philippians 4:13. We both ordered personalized stationery from different places but both had our first initial on the front in blue and that same verse. She loved that. I only wish she hadn't given me her flat chest. 🟦v🟦
That sounds *exactly* like the type of woman my Sicilian Great-Grandmother, Virginia Fucetelo. I knew she loved us kids, but we were always scared to go over. She just had that Mother Superior vibe going on...
@A MyDepressionTeam Member I'm like you and didn't really have many positive people around me. My grandmother that I mentioned was so far away and it was too expensive to call. I was only allowed an occasional stamp and sometimes my letters from her had one tucked inside for me to use. She was my brightest light and I think I idealized her when I was a child. My sister spent summers with her on their farm and she said our grandmother was kinda mean and demanding but she still loved her a lot. The few times I saw her she was very stern and she was definitely in charge. The men around her took a step back and I think that's what I respected about her. She had a commanding personality and was remembered and well loved by all. I'm not like that. I did take after her in some ways so I'll appreciate the gifts I got from her and her love.
