My dad, Tom, was an amazing athlete in the city of East St. Louis.
He was a boxer (Even boxing a bear at a nightclub one night)
He was a champion waterskier and raced boats.
He was a railroad conductor and did all the math to keep the trains on time.
When he moved us all to the farm, it changed our lives forever.

My dad is my hero, he survived being in the navy , the death of his son , 3 alcoholics a drug addict.A wife who was jealous of her kids and the amount of time he spent with us. She cheated on my dad. He's now 90 still in excellent health walks 2 miles everyday. My relationship with my dad wasn't always good but finally the dope stopped and we worked hard for this special bond. He knew I was maturing when I told him that if something happened to him before mom I would go home and take care of her. He knew me & mom didn't get along.well ..my sister .or my son didn't step up to.the plate. And as with mom I will step up again to take care of him he will never go into a nursing home.
I have the world's greatest. Dad
Why, thank you!
I'll take that as a compliment!
Here we are at Larry's house with that big-ass computer cabinet!
Can't remember why we were there, but know that Larry was probably doing stuff for her.
We were very close, and I loved her with my whole heart and soul!
My dad was a friend, a hard worker, and truly loved. He worked for the railroad (Pacific Fruit Express) as a clerk for 32 years. He loved all music, especially opera (Madame Butterfly). He loved to read, and we used to have a contest on who could read the fastest. He would ask me questions about the book, of course this helped when I had to do book reports in school. I love and miss my dad, he passed on in 2001.
I'm sure you will, Donna!
My dad is just the best! He's always been there for me and my brother, and he's an awesome Grampa to my nephews.
