Members strongly connected with the question about being the one seeking help while the rest of the family seems to need it most, with many sharing that they are the only ones in their family receiving treatment for mental health conditions. A recurring theme was the concept of being the 'scapegoat' or identified patient in a dysfunctional family, with several members finding clarity and relief after learning about this role through therapy, counseling, and YouTube resources. Many community members described finding strength in being different, leaning on prayer and medication, and taking pride in having the courage to seek help even when their families did not support or understand it.

I am now the healthiest person in my family. They all have bipolar--or so it seems.
I'm the only one treated for it. They all think I'm crazy, but like @A MyDepressionTeam Member I like being different.

There is a guy I watched on YouTube very good at explaining it will look him up and send you his name he calls it dysfunctional family. I went to counselling once and the councilor made me feel like I was the problem I wasn't going to go back only he said maybe I was the scap goat in the family when I looked it up and this guy explained the role of a scap goat everything made sense.Hope you have a great day Bob sending hugs
