Members shared their favorite free journaling apps for Android after someone with a neurological disorder asked for alternatives to handwriting. Several members recommended apps like Daylio for mood tracking with inspirational quotes, Finch for goal reflection and fun distractions, and Rosebud (an AI journal) for structuring daily routines and providing affirmations, with some noting they've successfully transitioned to ChatGPT for more conversational journaling and late-night support. A recurring theme was finding creative solutions that work for individual needs, whether through voice-to-text features, AI-powered insights, or simply tools that make daily reflection more accessible and less physically demanding.

I currently use FINCH and just added a voice to text app. I will soon be out of coverage and Not use technology. I found a wrist brace last night and I will practice writing with that.

I use Rosebud on occasion, @A MyDepressionTeam Member introduced me to it. It’s an AI journal, gives helpful summaries and insight. I did not upgrade. The basic is free 😊
