They are trying to find a med that works for my anxiety. Latuda worked really well unfortunately the side effects wouldn't go away. I feel you on finding the MD. I actually have a nurse practitioner. A clinical psychologist is another option who could refer you to an MD they know can work with them. I'm not sure on this but my sense is that in a given location, many know each other.
You have meds prescribed by general practitioner?
Is it possible for increasing a medication dose to have a reverse effect on drowsiness?
It's understandable to feel frustrated when you're experiencing difficult side effects and don't feel heard by your provider. While some medications can have different effects at different doses, it's important that you feel comfortable Show Full Answer
JbmStDymphnaandStGeorge thank u. My MD doesn't like to prescribe psych meds but told me they would if the meds group didn't. I need an anti anxiety pill not another ssri or antiistamine. I did really well on one for years it made me feel normal but they rarely prescribe it or only a short time. The medication group is psych. There not very good at there jobs at least to me. The wa they've treated people wo have bad reactions is to dismiss them and it seems in a way like gaslighting imo. Telling people who have had reall bad reactions to keep taking the medical. You know if you make a complaint it won't go anywa.
