I’ve been hospitalized about 5 times over a year’s time, that’s how “helpful” it was🙄. My last hospitalization was the longest…I went in to receive ECT and was only given 9 sessions because I was told that I “didn’t really respond to it.” The best part about the place was the food and some caring nurses on staff. I forced myself to go to an exercise class and a few other classes they had, as well as group therapy, but I don’t remember any of them being particularly helpful.

I self-admitted in 2009 after my second serious round of suicidal ideation and probably the first downward spiral I may have experienced since 1981.

It was the behavioral health wing of our local hospital and it was very..hospital-like. No real "treatment," per se; med checks with the attending psychiatrist every other day,

I discharged myself after 5 days
