I don't want to be no guy rib(slave),and dam* show don't want to take care of no kids. I just want my freedom,peace and quiet,lots of money,and to learn as much as I can about myself. I'm blessed I'm child free.
The people who've told me or suggested I was selfish for self-care were the ones who could no longer manipulate me the way they used to. How dare I prefer my own company, enjoy my own resources, indulge myself in my own tastes rather than theirs!!
@A MyDepressionTeam Member I don’t think that you’re selfish if you don’t have a husband or children but if you do then, yes, you need to really dig deep and get your priorities in order. because you and God made the decision for both of those happenings in your life.
I don’t know your age or anything about you because I went to your page to read your story but there wasn’t one, I love to do that so I can learn about a person that is asking such a deep, soul related question.

You're not selfish at all!!! The old you is trying to tell you that you don't deserve the self love and self-compassion that you need. All of us deserve to be happy, for however long at a time, not just because of the hell we've drug ourselves through, but because we feel deeper on so many levels that others don't understand and put us in a pigeon hole. Screw stigma and society's mores, you do you and enjoy every second...
