SEVERE MDD, GAD, PTSD, and TRD. Have tried EVERY med known to man PLUS IV <a href="/treatments/ketamine">Ketamine</a> and TMS to NO avail. Looking into VNS IF insurance will cooperate!! Have NO QUALITY OF LIFE WHATSOEVER. In bed more than out of it. Anxiety/panic attacks becoming more frequent. I’m 64 years old which is NOT YOUNG, it’s not old enough to just lay down and wait to die. I wish I could find some kind of what I’ll call a “psychiatric specialist”…a doctor that deals with PARTICULARLY SEVERE cases, not just your run of the mill “shrink” …..been there done that for 20 plus years. But my issues have only gotten to the CRITICAL stage for about the last 2-3 years as I have experienced EXTREMELY awful things happen in my life, so much so that I am no longer even remotely close to the person I used to be. ALL my close personal relationships have been DEEPLY affected and ALL of my friends are literally gone. Apparently I’m too much to put up with. My husband left 2 months ago and is coming back, but NOT FOR LOVE, only because we can’t afford 2 rents and living expenses. If not for my 19 year old goddaughter who lives with me, I have NO IDEA how I would live. She helps in every way and thank GOD, loves and adored me just as I am. I can’t even say that about my 39 year old son, who once was closer to me than ANY OTHER mother/son in the world. Now, he finds me almost impossible to deal with the manifestations of my sickness. The deep, dark and terrifying black hole I live in is unbearable. Since no meds work anymore, that’s why I’m beyond desperate to find something, ANYTHING that might reduce even a little the horrors I go through everyday of my life. I thank you, even if you can’t make any suggestions, just for taking the time to read through this. May my God bless us ALL. ✝️ 🙏

When I went to IOP (intensive outpatient) therapy, the therapists were very helpful locating a therapist that fit my needs. Perhaps you could call the nearest behavioral health hospital and see if they would help you locate someone who could help you.
