I know this sounds funny, but I start with a shiny sink! I have trouble with house cleaning, so I do what FlyLady says, shine your sink! (FlyLady.com is a website for a house cleaning system.) The shiny sink makes me feel like I accomplished something, so I can continue or not, knowing that I accomplished something that day. You can start anywhere you like! Just make sure to start!
