Has Anyone Here Tried Ketamine For Depression? Day 5 For Me And Not Feeling Better Yet.
I tried it years ago, but I really question the manner in which it was administered. I was given the iv infusion, and then left alone, with my companion, but no oversight by the doctor. There was no attempt to provide feedback or integrate the experience. On the 5th day he overheard our conversation and said I wasn't getting enough. My last day, this was over three weekends, was a much more intense experience but I still felt no aftereffects. I tried the spray and wasn't impressed. I know psilocybin is inhibited in its effects unless you are off antidepressants, and I wonder if that pertains to ketamine as well. So I guess my answer as to ketamine's effectiveness is inconclusive. For my experience, I just wasted a lot of time and money.
You can take it at home. There are different types of it. I got wax melts in the mail
Yes, I have and it took MONTHS to start working for my depression. It made my anxiety better faster but I've also only had anxiety problems for a couple years instead of the 30 plus years I've struggled with depression, so my sadness was more deeply ingrained than my anxiety so maybe that's why it took so long. That disappointed me because meds always work quicker but the results never last long. This has lasted longer for me, about six months, so stick with it for a bit if you can. If not I understand because I'm unable to take this med at home yet (I live in Texas and we have weird laws) so I have to physically go to my doctors office and stay there about 3 hours after taking the med (it's a nose spray I've been using, Spravato it's called.
