A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Once a upon a time I lived to be out and about. I was never good at making friends or keeping the ones I had. So I would try to get out and try to make new friends. Now it seems like such a chore. I sign up for events and do not go. I think about going out dancing like I used to but I changed my mind at last minute. @A MyDepressionTeam Member I have the same problem about going out so my husband gets out granddaughter to come ask me even if it is just going outside to watch her in the pool. My husband knows that he has to rely me in advance about going anywhere as I have a fight in my head. I want to go but it means leaving my room and being up and out around people BUT I always have to remember that I WILL FEEL BETTER IN THE END. I hope and pray that you will remember this also Just tell yourself to do one thing at a time getting ready and then go because youWILL FEEL BETTER after you go and you might make some friends to be able to talk to or text when you are lonely. YOU can do it, YOU can do it, YOU CAN DO IT! BridgetL you have this and can do it

Hi Bridget,
Maybe pretend that you are someone else and give yourself a different name temporarily when you plan on going out? . . I really do not know! . . I don't go anywhere anymore because I have no money now but I used to have the same problem that I hear you describing. . .
Peace and love,
