Hello, when you are depressed you could sleep 12 hours at night, but when you wake up you don't feel as though you have slept at all.

I take my night meds, trazadone, Quentipine about 40 minutes before bdtm. Then 20 minutes later I take my melatonin and make sure I am in bed before that next 20 is over. Relax with eyes shut. If I am all wired up I will include a klonzapin. I have really played around with this because of issues. This is what works for me. I do know from doctor and research that you don't take melatonin with night meds. Wait 20 minutes and the disolving under tongue is best kind, it get through system quicker and more thorough. But since this breakdown is good for me I have to stick to it, if I miss timing on something I struggle. Good luck. 💕

B4 Meds, I would be up & down during the night & the only time I would really sleep was during the day, my sleeping habits were bad @ night. I might get 1 or 2 good night sleep maybe once or twice a week if then

@A MyDepressionTeam Member when I put my Cpap on my body know it is time for sleep, I have been using it for 7 years and when I put it on now my body starts relaxing and getting ready for sleep. Did you give your body time to adjust to the machine? Maybe they needed to change some of the settings or your face mask, as I am on my second mask and like it so much better.
My meds does wonders for me since they have gotten them figured out and I know that it takes a couple of hours for them to start working. I can tell as my mouth starts getting dry so I get a drink and put mask on and most of the time not all , I will be asleep. I have had sleep problems since I was born and my grandfather and oldest brother had to take me for a ride every night to get me to sleep and I was in my 50’s before I finally talked to my doctor about needing help so Please Don’t Give Up and maybe try a new doctor or therapist because it took me a few years to find the right one and the right nurse therapist to help me get things together and right.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member I have had trouble falling asleep since I was a baby and to driven around. My depression and anxiety only made it worse as I got older and I take meds to help both and some days I sleep a lot and others I only get about 3-4 hours. Depression affects people in different ways and of course we are all in different life’s and lifestyles.
Good luck and I hope you get better.
Hugs from Alabama.
