I write out the questions that keep racing through my head so I can stop thinking them. I talked to my therapist and she had me write affirmations like "I am independent" "I deserve to be treated with kindness and honesty." Keep on keeping on.

Sounds like you're already doing quite a lot by trying to distance yourself. Getting out of a regular relationship is hard, it's even more difficult when there is a narcissist involved. I wish you luck, healing and answers.

@Julsss I’m stunned ... I’m
in such disbelief that there are actually people that cause others to end up with these symptoms , diseases and disorders.

I guess I never really knew what a narcissist was truly about.
How dreadful!

You’ve got a lot on your plate just being strong enough to stay away from him.
That’s kudos to you.

However if you’ve been with him for 12 years!
I’ve no doubt in my mind whatsoever that you truly will succeed in being free from him forever.

One day, one step at a time.
Get your own phone plan. Draw up a legal agreement for your furrbabies.Even If is just a notarized document.

I don’t need to tell you all this though you already know what to do. You can do though ! I have faith in you!
