How Does Not Enough Sleep Make People Feel?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Why do i feel so weak and blank if i do not sleep 8 or 9 hours?
I get numb and blank and do not even have any motivation to go out or do anything.

Sleep is very important to some people. I experience extreme mood swings when I'm sleep deprived and even may hallucinate if I go too long without it. 8-9 hours a night is a good amount of sleep, and if that's what you need, that's what you should do. I know I need at least that much or I'm not myself.

I do the same thing. I feel like my mind has been erased and I am just here, but no longer know anything.

To GlennMG .. for me not getting good regular sleep .. saps my energy level, effects my response timing; it takes me longer to do tasks - I have to think harder ..... words just do not flow ... my comprehension slows down.
