I've taken Cymbalta/Duloxetine for many years, and until recently it's seem to keep me more or less normalized, although I feel like my energy levels are low.

Last week, my doctor prescribed Buspirone/Buspar to take in addition to Duloxetine. I understand that it can take a week or two to work its magic, but so far (5 days in) I think I feel worse than before, and my energy and motivation are at an all-time low.

Has anyone else taken Buspirone/Buspar with an SNRI like Cymbalta? If so, was it… read more

Yes I have taken bus par for anxiety it helped me some

As an augmentation to duloxetine, buspar didn't work for me, but it seems to work for some. Definitely not a placebo, though; studies show it comparable to diazepam: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2885344.

Anyway, after a couple weeks, I couldn't tell whether buspar did nothing for me or made me feel worse, so I quit taking it and am now back to duloxetine by itself.
