I'm turning 60 soon...not taking it very well. I guess it beats the alternative . I know alot of good people that died too soon.

I just turned 60, too. I still can't believe I am this old. I don't feel like it (most of the time). But it is depressing.
I didn't think I would live this long, but what do they say now, 60 is the new 40!! Well can't do much about it!!

I just turned sixty. Saying it makes me feel old. But I don’t feel sixty like I used to think sixty meant. and I try to remind myself of that. And also that sixty doesn’t have to be old unless I want it to be. ( I also survived turning 50 )

Hmpf, well, I'm sticking my tongue out at you, next we're gonna have a pillow fight! I don't care if people can't take how I am, I'll take the time I need at that register, putting my credit card in my wallet so I don't lose it, at least give me a little space to be able to do that! I'm a human being, not a robot. I won't be treated like one, either! People should give the person in front of them a little breathing room. Having spent most of my life behind a register, I have seen so much bad behavior, that's why I won't tolerate it today. I was patient with my customers, treated them like people. Thank goodness schools, etc. are still teaching children to say "please, thank you, excuse me, pardon me, hi, apologizing if they hurt someone, treating others the way you want to be treated"!

I do admit that I try to get in the shortest line at those registers, shopping is hateful!.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member. We may have acted more respectful of our elders. I don’t know about you, but inside I was thinking “lady please move along.”😜

Yes, I also have a problem, I will be 60 in December of this year, I am not accepting of my body's changes at all, I don't feel like I am in charge of my body anymore. I hate this, not having people understand why I am more talkative, at the register, and the cashier is acting like "Lady, please move along, I don't want to hear you". Is this attitude going to be the way this new generation perceives us? We, at least, have human emotions, we aren't cold and mean, hateful, not giving the other person respect for being there, being just as much human as they are...
