I find it helps lift my mood and makes me fell more positive.

I am glad that you are back to yourself with the combined help of therapy and medication!
About 10 years ago I was quite reluctant to go onto medication, but eventually I decided to try medication in addition to the CBT and looking back it appears that this broke the cycle and allowed me to carry on with my life.
Despite a lot of negative views on the use of medication, I definitely believe there is a case for them.
Now I have reached a point where I will phase out my medication. Despite feeling anxious about it, this seems to be the next step for me.
I think it's great and very useful. I went to a DBT group. Dialectical behavioral therapy. It helped me immensely. I went for two years. It incorporates CBT in it:)
I did it 3 years ago. it helps have paperwork from it it helps wheh depression
If it works don't fix it. If it's helping you, stick with it.
It has worked very well for me, but initially it had to be combined with medication, plus I did LOTS of reading. I liked what my doctor said at my first diagnosis; we can attack this VERY aggressively. Today I continue to take a small dose of an antidepressant, but my own thought patterns are the primary tool. CBT works but as a previous poster said, it needs professional attention at the early stages.
