I am sorry they affected your memory. I have heard they do for some people. I don't know what I would do because when the medications don't work and the therapy doesn't work they are what saves my life every time. Hope you are doing well.

Only for a couple of hours after the treatment. I have to focus harder when reading but otherwise no bad side-effects.

I have done ECT off and on since 2003. Right now I am doing them on fridays only and believe me without them I would be inpatient right now. However, what works for one may not work for another. I've read horrible things about them from others but I can only post with my own experience and they really help. Starting a new series of them this coming friday. Best of luck
