My mother and father account for (probably) billions of combinations of eggs and sperm. Just because I'm the one that made it doesn't mean I'm anything special. I am just one of the multiple billions of people that have ever been on this planet, and though I may have hoped to be influential when I was younger, the truth is that my life doesn't really matter in the long run. Have a look at Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" for an interesting perspective.
